Why Royal Estate Fits DFW Roofs

Royal Estate is a natural fit for the traditional and French-eclectic homes throughout Highland Park, Westlake and north Frisco where natural slate would require structural reinforcement. It gives the formal slate line at roughly a tenth of the installed weight, so no framing upgrade is needed on a standard deck.

How ADC Installs Royal Estate

Chalk lines matter more here than on a random-blend shingle — the slate look depends on dead-straight courses. Use a matching hip and ridge and keep the cap exposure consistent.

Royal Estate — Frequently Asked Questions

Q.How close is Royal Estate to real slate?

From the curb it reproduces the rectangular slate line convincingly. Up close, natural slate still wins on texture and depth — but Royal Estate installs on a normal roof deck with no structural work.

Q.Should I consider natural or synthetic slate instead?

If the budget allows and the home warrants it, natural slate lasts a century and composite slate 50+ years. Royal Estate is the asphalt-budget path to the same aesthetic.

Q.Which color works best on red brick?

Harvest Slate and Taupe Slate carry warm tones that sit well against red and blended brick; Shadow Slate suits white, limestone and painted-brick homes.
